Fun Weekend

Had a FUN weekend!  Friday, Craig and I were able to go downtown and have a night away.  My friend offered to take Katelyn so we could get away for a night.  So of course we had to take her up on it.  So after I sent Katelyn off I rode the train down to meet Craig.  We checked in to our hotel and then went and did some shopping before dinner.  We had yummy Japanese dinner at some place for the life of me I don’t remember the name of.  Then later on that night we had tickets to go see Blue Man Group.  It was soooo fun!!!!  I’ve heard people talk about how great it was but I wasn’t expecting it to be so funny.  I don’t remember the last time I laughed so much.  I was mad I brought my camera but left the memory card at home in the computer.  I hate when I do that.  So this is the only picture I got of the night.

 

So it was a really fun night. 

So Saturday morning we had breakfast and then got on the train to head home.  We missed Kate and come to find out she did so good staying over at Karrie’s.  We came and got her and she didn’t want to leave.  They are her second family. :)  Anyways, we finally got her to leave and we went and had lunch at Steak N Shake and went bowling.  It was another good time.

Katelyn was cute with the milkshake.  Whenever she would want Craig to take a drink she would say “Go ahead”.  Don’t know where she got that one. :)

Zoo

It was a very nice day yesterday so I thought I would take Kate down to the zoo.  I thought this year would be a little better than last year and that she would be more interested in the animals.  Ummm….it’s still the same. :(  She is still more interested in pushing all the display buttons, playing in the dirt and the bark, and throwing stuff in the garbage cans.  Oh well.  She did have one cute moment.  I told her “Kate lets go look at the Monkeys.” and she replied with (while running now) “Oh, boy, oh boy”.  That’s a new one. :)  Don’t know where she got that.  I didn’t get very many cute pictures since she was so preoccupied with other things most of the time but here are a few…

Easter

We had another great holiday with some great friends.  Yummy dinner and beautiful weather to do an Easter egg hunt for the kids….or at least if was beautiful when we had the hunt.  It rained later while we were eating dinner. :)  The timing worked out perfectly.  Sorry to my Utah and Idaho friends….I heard it snowed!  Total bummer. 

The morning was really nice too.  Kate woke up and rushed right to her Easter basket.  She loved all her new presents.  We also got to listen to the morning session of conference.  Lucky for us and thanks to the new LDS.org website we can go back and listen to all of the speakers that we missed in the 2nd session.  Here are some pictures from the day (and please don’t mind Kate’s morning hair.  I know it’s just sooo lovely).
