We had a fantastic 4th of July weekend. Craig was lucky to have Thursday and Friday off so we took full advantage of having him for a super long weekend. First we hit downtown with the Field Museum.
Then the beach on Friday. It was kind of chilly and cloudy but we kept warm digging big holes, making a big tower of sand, and burying Craig and Kate in the sand. Craig didn't put sunscreen on so he looks like a tomato. :)
and finally Saturday was a really busy day. I was able to go to a really neat baptism down at the lake in the morning. It was really special. I love watching our primary kids get baptized in the lake. After that we went to a friends to BBQ and watch the parade. It was fun. The only downer was that it was raining the entire time. After that we headed over to another friends for more partying. Then we headed for the lake to watch the fireworks. It was a long fun day!

What a fun weekend! You're so lucky to live by the beach! I love Katelyn's 4th of July outfit too.
Kate's dress is really cute. I can't believe that pic with her and the sucker...she's still all clean! Did you photoshop that? :) Sounds like you guys had a fun weekend.
Darling pictures! It was an exhausting weekend but I enjoyed all of the various parts of it. And Katelyn's dress was darling!
Oh I love Katelyn in the sand table!!
